Projection-Based Implicit Modeling Method (PIMM) for Functionally Graded Lattice Optimization

We propose a projection-based implicit modeling method (PIMM) for functionally graded lattice optimization, which does not require any homogenization techniques. In this method, parametric projection function is proposed to link the of with finite element background mesh. To reduce number design variables, radial basis utilized interpolate field. The triply periodic minimal surface employed demonstrate method. Several two- and three-dimensional examples are presented solve compliance problems. PIMM flexible can potentially be extended irregular porous scaffold non-periodic infill designs.
